Ski Season, No Snow? Time to Hit the Road Instead!

Well folks, it’s officially ski season in Colorado—minus the snow. Resorts are scratching their heads, skiers are waxing their boards in vain, and we’re all standing around in fleece jackets wondering if Mother Nature’s on vacation in Florida.

But hey, just because the slopes are bare doesn’t mean your tires have to be. Instead of chasing powder that isn’t there, maybe it’s time to trade the ski pass for a scenic drive and give your car some overdue TLC.

Here’s Our “No Snow, No Problem” Guide to Winter Fun:

🚘 1. Trade Skis for Keys

If your skis are collecting dust, why not let your car collect some miles instead? The roads through the Front Range, Garden of the Gods, or a drive up to Estes Park are still stunning—even if the peaks look a little bald.

🔧 2. Tune-Up Instead of Ski Tune

Since you won’t be taking your knees to the trees, maybe it’s time to bring your vehicle in for a winter wellness check. Oil changes, battery tests, wiper blades—you know, the kind of maintenance that actually helps you avoid wipeouts.

⛷️ 3. Slopes Closed? Drive-Thru Open!

Turn your ski day into a snack crawl. Drive from one local favorite to another—hot cocoa, chili, burritos. It’s a chairlift-free adventure where no one judges your après-ski attire.

🌞 4. Bonus: You Can Still See the Sun

Let’s be honest, it’s kind of refreshing to have dry roads and 50° weather in January. Just make sure your all-season tires are still doing their job—we don’t trust this sunny streak to last long.

❄️ Final Thought: Colorado Weather Is Like a Subaru—You Never Know What It’ll Do Next

So until the snow shows up, enjoy the rare luxury of a low-salt, pothole-free winter drive. And remember, whether you’re headed to the mountains or the mall, we’re here to keep your ride smooth, safe, and ski-season ready—even if the skis stay in the garage.
